Oral presentation and poster guidelines

Oral presentations

Duration and language: Oral presentation should last up to 10 minutes, and will be followed by 5 minutes discussion. All presentations and discussion must be delivered in ENGLISH (oral and multimedia support).

Format: Presentations should be saved in.pdf, .ppt or .pptx format. If you have video files attached to your power point presentation, they must be saved in the same folder as the presentation. When saving your final presentation on a USB stick, make sure to include your video files and all links to multimedia files in your presentation folder.

Handing your presentation during the congress: Your presentation file must be handed over to the room technicians either on a memory stick or a hard drive, as far in advance as possible and, at least, during the break before the session in which your presentation is scheduled. The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before, unless your presentation is scheduled right after a congress break.

You will be assisted by a room technician during the conference to transfer your presentation. You will also be able to review your presentation and to check whether formatting is correct. Please consider that personal laptops cannot be used for presentations.

Poster preparation

Dimensions. Poster boards are oriented vertically and posters should be 750 mm width x 1200 mm height.

Poster sessions. There are two poster sessions scheduled during the congress. Authors are responsible for affixing posters to the panels before or during morning breaks before their poster session.

Posters cannot be affixed during scientific sessions at the main hall. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board will be available at the registration desk and in the poster area (Cavalerizza Reale). Assistants will help you put up or take down your posters. Posters should be removed at the end of the day. Posters that are not removed by Friday, 20th September 2019, at 14.00, will be disposed of.

ID. Each poster panel will be labelled with a number, you will be informed about the number of your poster board before the conference. The schedule of the poster session will be given in the program.

Video: In order to make more attractive the poster session a short video is requested. We suggest that at least one author should be in the main hall (Cavalerizza Reale) during the poster session to explain your work and answer questions.
